Popular Mailing Lists?

Was wondering if anyone knew of any good mailing lists. I'm thinking about promoting my site on a few of them. Any ideas?

www.accesstechnologyinstitute.com has, or at least used to have, a very extensive list of mailing lists that might be of interest to blind and VI.

Thank you. Every little bit of info can help. Search engines are nice, but it'll only index like maybe a few things on your site. I even went as far as adding meta tags in all of my pages or the site's subsections start pages. I also have the list of msn/yahoo groups on my site I could always email. But wanted to try something different.

Um ... I'm trying to think. I guess general lists would be your best bet. There's al ist of mailing lists on www.whitestick.co.uk, some of those are only for specific topics, but there's probably a couple of general lists on there. Also, maybe you could go to www.acbradio.org and let them publish your site somewhere, somehow? They might do that for you. Also, if you go on Whitestick, you could E-Mail the webmaster and have him add your site to the lsit of personal pages for and by the blind and VI, I did that with mine. He's very nice and helpful about it.

Yeah, Whitestick is one of my favorite sites, it has most everything I want lol!

Also JFWlite has a list of email lists on it. Some of I'm a member include blind tech, blind christians, and blind handyman just to name a few.

well I just knew some from blindprogramming.com, but never have heard from jfwlite.com, but whatever since i will check these webs out... since blindprogramming.com lists are programming lists and jfw scripting. But, if there are any questions regarding the jfw's use, you are able to join jawslite-subscribe@blindprogramming.com. Also did know about yahoogroups, or the yahoo.com website but you had to recoznize an image. Funny if you wanted to be in a blind list ah ha ha

Well, as for just general chatter lists, try blind-friends on Yahoogroups. Not sure what it's like now since I haven't been back on it since the move, but like most chatter lists it'll vary.

I've heard of that yahoo group. And I'm also a member there I believe. Also I heard about JFW list.

Mailing lists rock, I love th4em! As long is the traffic isn't exeedingly terribly high lol.
